The foundation member organisation EDAsa was established in 1983 under the name of ABNA, with the aim of providing information and support to people with eating disorders, their friends and families as well as to better inform the community of the effects of these conditions. Today, the values and traditions of EDAsa have been continued through the amalgamation into Aceda, with the response to the needs of the community including individuals experiencing eating disorders, their parents, partners and supporters via the provision of a variety of services. Aceda is continuing to build on established relationships with universities and hospitals to ensure best practice support services are developed and provided for all those who access support from across the state. |
